It's now Friday & I'm at home off work. What a week it's been. It did fly by though, so that's a plus. I've been busy today, well all week actually. I got the payroll done early so I didn't have to worry about it late in the week. The billing was done pretty quickly too. I was on the ball.
Today we had to pack up our desks so they can put in the new carpet this weekend. That made it a busy day. Everyone was packing boxes, fighting over packing tape, labeling their computers and stuff, etc. It was not a boring day, I can say that. It's finally over and now I can relax.
Nothing much has been happening over the last few days. Just work and home. I've been talking to a new friend I met online. He is really nice & cool. I love making new friends even though they aren't close to where I live. People interest me. When I'm out, I people watch. You can learn a lot about a person just by watching them.
Christian is liking school. I haven't talked to him since the weekend, so I need to give him a call. See how he is doing and making sure he's doing his homework. He tends to not do it then gets bad grades. He aces the tests, but the homework he either forgets to turn in or doesn't do it. Damn kid needs to get better grades.
This is a long weekend for me and I'm so glad. Labor Day weekend. I have Monday off as well as the weekend. It will make it a little stressful at work having a short week, but I will enjoy being off. It will be crazy at work on Tuesday because they will be putting our desks back together so we can unpack our boxes and get our computers set back up. Should be interesting.
I've decided to have an alcoholic beverage tonight. Just vodka and apple pucker. Apple martini. It's strong since I don't have sweet and sour in it, but that gives me heartburn, so I leave it out. Straight alcohol. Sure gets u buzzed quick. Just to relax a little.
Didn't drink much of my apple martini. Just didn't go down smoothly. I'm used to being out and about when I drink. I'm not a good home drinker. Plus I'm home alone. I talked to the oldest sister for two hours tonight. Just couldn't get her off the phone. Then I took a shower and it felt so nice. Laid down for a bit and then my friend online IM'd me, so now I'm up again. I think I fell asleep for about 45 minutes or so.
I think it's time for bed though very soon. I am tired and it's been a long week. Maybe I'll stay up late tomorrow night. It's just not the night for me to be awake late. Thank goodness I get to sleep in tomorrow. No plans for tomorrow. Just will probably pick up the apartment a bit, vacuum, things like that. I'm going to try to get in to get a haircut also.
