Well, I slept in real good this morning. Didn't wake up till 7:30. That's too late. Had to rush and got to work around 8:30. Late, late, late. When I got there, Mary, a co-worker was answering the phones. Ingrid had told her it was my week. She could have at least answered the phones for that little bit. Give me a break. So, the receptionist was stuck where she lives because a tree had fallen in her road from the storm. There was also snow. I got my stuff together and headed to the reception desk to take over. The phones were crazy. I guess we have an ad out in the paper and careerbuilder.com for a forklift driver/front end loader. So, the phones were ringing off the hook. I was also trying to take orders and open the mail. Didn't get too far on the mail.
Receptionist finally showed up around 10:00. She had called when she was 45 minutes away and relief washed over me because I didn't have to stay up there all day long. I really don't like playing receptionist. Even the sound of the phone ring irritates me. I'm pretty rude to people too. I'm surprised they even want me answering the phone. So I got my stuff ready and took it back to my desk and then I went out to my car and had a cigarette.
When I came back in, I didn't get too much done. I worked on the rail cars, entered some billing. Then I realized I was supposed to do the payable first, so I deleted what I had done and told myself I'd do it later. I entered orders when they were called in. Next thing you know, it's the receptionists lunch break. I relieved her. She only took half hour though since she was late to work by two hours.
I fooled around on MDJ for a bit posting on discussions. Then I got serious and worked on some transfers to Fresno from Stockton and some tank transfers. I entered some payables too. I was on a roll. I didn't get in the billing that I wanted to get in or the rail cars that I wanted to do. I will have to do that tomorrow. The day went by pretty fast for me though. That was a nice perk for the day.
I left work and the traffic was pretty nice for once. Stopped and got gas. $50.00 to fill up my tank. $3.99 a gallon now for mid-grade. It's ridiculous I tell you. I then headed home. The neighbors were outside. They are pretty cool. Their dog really likes me and she came over to say hi. She always tries to get into people's cars. She is so cute. I went in the apartment and jumped on the computer and started posting on MDJ and DS. I was in the mood for giving advice today.
Now it's 9:15 at night. I've been busy on the computer for 3 hours. Man does time fly by when you are having fun. It went by quick since I've been on here. Tomorrow is Tuesday, so that's one day closer to Friday. I have a feeling this week is going to go by fast. I want to get as much cleaned up though before Emily comes back on Monday. Hopefully I didn't mess up too much stuff. I know I have a lot of credits to do. I will get those in eventually. Better get ready for bed here pretty soon. Hope tomorrow is a good day!
